Most of us lead very busy lives that are filled with work, taking care of others, and very little time for ourselves. This lack of time to spend on ourselves can lead us to neglecting our own health and happiness. This can then cause another problem called low self esteem. Before you start trying to change everything about yourself, you need to take the time to actually ask yourself why you feel badly about yourself. This is important because many people do not realize that there are other issues at play and that the things they dislike about themselves really are not bad at all.

Be sure to set aside some time for yourself regularly. No one and nothing should be allowed to interrupt this time. Do whatever you feel like during this time, like making something, going to the park, or visiting the spa.

Allow yourself to enjoy the good things about you. Be proud of yourself and allow yourself to feel confident about who you are.

It takes time and effort to start improving the way you feel about yourself, but it is doable. Pamper yourself and do the things you love. Reflect on your good qualities and always keep in mind that you are not defined by anything you own.
